Beginning Monday, March 18th, East Prospect Avenue will be closed from 1st Street to Cottonwood Street for the construction of the Johnson’s Park Project. The contractor will be removing a portion of the street along Prospect from 1st to Oak and along the west side of Oak Street.

Central Park Power Outage
Due to damage sustained to the electrical junction box serving Central Park, residents and visitors are advised of a temporary power outage in the park vicinity. The outage is necessary to facilitate repair works and bring the electrical infrastructure up to code.

Christmas Tree Recycle Program To Take Place
The 35th Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program kicks off next week. Area residents and businesses are asked to bring any live Christmas trees to the northwest corner of the parking lot at Norfolk Fire Division Training Center (302 E. Benjamin Ave.) starting December 26, 2023 through January 13, 2024 to be recycled.

Beginning next week, holiday decorations will be hung up throughout Norfolk Avenue downtown. Norfolk Avenue will be closed, one block at a time, starting from 7th Street to 1st Street, from 4:30 to 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7 through Thursday, November 9.
