Street Division

Pavement Markings & Traffic Signals

The Street Division paints center lines, lane lines and edge lines on City streets. Highways are painted by the Nebraska Department of Roads. Crosswalks, arrows, and railroad crossings are painted by the City in most instances. A few thermoplastic markings have been used in heavy traffic areas; more will be used in the future. Winter is very destructive on pavement markings, especially when deicing materials are heavily used.
