Community Wayfinding

Project Overview:

Many communities have formal wayfinding plans. These plans help guide visitors into the community so they are able to enjoy the many opportunities offered by local businesses. In December of 2019 the City entered into a contract with Merje Design to complete Phase 1 of wayfinding concept for Norfolk. Phase I included conducting a Wayfinding Assessment and completing Schematic Design for a wayfinding program. In September of 2020, the City amended the design contract with Merje Design to complete Phase II Design and Planning for the Downtown Parking portion of the wayfinding program. The City will use the completed design to identify funding for construction.
